Unity Memorial Hall Renovation
Mission Statement
It is our belief in renovating what we have...
We renovate and preserve our past.
The Unity Hall Renovation began in 2009. Several local construction companies donated their labor and time for the new steel roof. We were fortunate to have a neighboring lumber yard donate the roof materials at cost. Various residents stepped up and made monetary donations. Preceding this, we were given a $5,000 donation from the Shortner Trust Fund as seed money for our project. The donation was unexpected and it gave us...HOPE.
Since then, we have had our restrooms renovated and made handicapped accessible. We are still raising money to pay for them. Recently, we have done a refreshing, but inexpensive, face-lift on our old stage. We were fortunate to have a new stage curtain donated by an Abbotsford business.
As you can see, the hall built in 1947 is in need of more upkeep and renovation; we hope that we will see this accomplished.
